Story Break
Are you on a Week A or Week B collection?

While you will still have your waste collected weekly, we have split the materials that we collect over a rolling two week period, but both now collected on the same day of the week. This may be changed for your household.

On Week A we will collect food waste, plastic bottles, cans and glass bottles; and on Week B we will collect food and plastic bottles again, plus paper, textiles and non-recyclable waste.

To find out your weekly collection day and whether you are on a Week A or B collection, use the postcode search, or look on your calendar tag delivered with your brown food caddies. It'll make sure you put out the right containers on the right day.

Do you know what can and cannot be recycled and which containers to use?

Your new improved recycling service now allows you to recycle many more items than before; like food, plastic and textiles, but there are certain items that we cannot accept for recycling. To ensure you are using the new service correctly, and recycling as much as you can it is important that you understand what you can and cannot put in each of your recycling containers.

Click here for a full list of each of your recycling containers, and an explanation of what you can put in each.  To download the handy householder guide to the new service click on the image to the right.

Pass it on....!

Naturally we’re keen that everyone uses the new service properly. Separating our waste into bags, boxes and bins will enable us to maximise our recycling and achieve our target of 40%. It will also help us provide quality materials to the recycling processors and manufacturers, which in turn means they can provide quality recycled products.
