Christmas Recycling Promotion - Terms and Conditions
1. Upon entering the promotion, all residents give consent to receive further communications by telephone, post and email for any related communications by Calderdale Council.
2. Details can be removed from the database by writing to: Recycle for Calderdale Christmas Draw, PO Box 590, Preston, Lancashire, PR5 6XU, or unsubscribe from the emailing list by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any email.
3. All entrants must be residents of Calderdale. Employees of Calderdale Council that are professionally link to the promotion, their families, agencies, associates, printers or anyone connected with the promotion are excluded.
4. To claim their prize, entrants must send in their winning code (from the Christmas Recycling guide) with a current utilities bill to: Recycle for Calderdale Christmas Draw, PO Box 590, Preston, Lancashire, PR5 6XU.
5. Promotion closes 31/01/10.
6. All prize claims must be received by 13/02/10.
7. The top prize is a Luxury Hamper (of which there are 10 available to be won) and a Mini Hamper for second place (of which there are 100 available to be won).
8. In the event of unavailability of the specified prize, a replacement which is deemed a suitable replacement shall be provided – Calderdale Council reserves the right to change the specifications of the prizes advertised through the promotion.
9. Once a claim is made it cannot be changed or amended.
10. Only original copies of the ‘Christmas Recycling Guide’ will act as verification for a prize claim. Prize claims are subject to an independent security check. Prizes will be dispatched within twenty eight (28) days of receipt of a winning number in accordance with the above procedure, subject to availability.
11. No responsibility is accepted for prize winner’s claims that are lost, damaged or delayed in the post. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt or of prize entitlement. No responsibility is accepted for any incomplete, ineligible entries (which may be disqualified at the promoter’s discretion) or entries which fail to arrive by the specified closing date.
12. All goods will be dispatched via carrier and will require a signature as proof of delivery.
13. It is deemed that all prize winners grant a licence to the promoter to use all names and photographs for publicity purposes or other material in relation to the promotion.
14. By entering the promotion entrants agree to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of the promoter that are final in all matters relating to the competition. No correspondence will be entered into.
15. A list of the major prize winners will be available after 16/02/10. Send a S.A.E. to: Recycle for Calderdale Christmas Draw, PO Box 590, Preston, Lancashire, PR5 6XU and please mark the envelope ‘Winners’ after this date. The winning names will also be available after 16/02/10 by clicking on the ‘winners’ button at www.recycleforcalderdale.org.
16. Only one unique reference number activation per household is permitted, and only one activation per email address. All winning entries will be double checked for bona fide addresses, and entrants must be 18 or over.
17. All entrants must provide a valid address and email address for entry into the promotion.
18. All prizes are subject to availability.
19. Calderdale Council shall not be liable for any damage, claim or costs, however incurred, arising from this promotion.
20. Force Majeure: Calderdale Council will not be liable for failure or delay in delivery or performance of their obligations under these terms and conditions due to any unforeseen cause beyond their reasonable control.
21. Where Calderdale Council believes that there has been a breach of terms and conditions, they will refuse to process any such claims.
22. In the event of circumstances beyond its control, the promoter reserves the right to vary the conditions of the promotion at any time.
23. These terms and conditions and any claim placed hereunder shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with English law subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
